Arion’s Dream is a talented, young, band comprised of six spirited teenagers playing the fiddle, mandolin, viola, doumbek, and guitar. They play fiddle music from many different traditions, including Celtic, Bluegrass, Scandinavian, and Gypsy.

Karen runs monthly children's Irish music sessions in the Washington D.C. area, and also runs the "Sligo Creek Hedge School" for children in the summer.

Each year in Nashville and San Diego, a wondrous, magical, musical event takes place. It is an event that creates lasting bonds and friendships, as well as music. For five days in June, fiddle players from all over the world, old and young, novice and experienced gather for the Mark O'Connor Fiddle Camp. In July, another 5 days of instruction, concerts and jamming is enjoyed by those who play violin, viola, cello and bass at the Mark O'Connor San Diego Strings Conference.
